Within ...an odd mix of technology, art and history, as these are the personal and professional sites of Paul and Kim Schreuders. Dr. Paul SchreudersPaul has a Ph D. in Biomedical Engineering and works in the areas of Biological Engineering and Engineering Education. Kim SchreudersKim is an Electrical/Computer Engineer who has worked for various manufacturing and consulting firms as well as academia in the areas of business analysis, databases/informatics and web technologies. MuninIn Norse mythology Odin, the god of poetry and wisdom, had two ravens named Hugin (thought) and Munin (memory). Every morning they were released to fly the world. Every evening they returned to Odin to bring him news. So Paul's Munin site is a bit of Paul's memory, functioning as a repository of the engineering and engineering education resources that he has compiled and composed. In addition to being an engineer, Paul has an overwelming desire to play with hot glass. Lampworking is a technique where you start with rods of cold glass, heating one end of the rod in a torch as you hold the other end and manipulate the glob of molten glass into its final form. See what he has done. House OakenstaffBoth Paul and Kim have an interest in exploring various aspects of medieval history and have actively participated in the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. for more than 30 years now. |
